The 6th International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence Technologies and Applications (ICCCI 2014) took place in Seoul, Korea. The conference was organized by Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland) in cooperation with three Korean universities: Yeungnam University, Hanyang University, and Chung-Ang University. The conference was run under the patronage of the IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Computational Collective Intelligence. General Chair of the conference was Professor Ngoc Thanh Nguyen. Five representatives of our Division: Prof. Ngoc Thanh Nguyen, Dr. Bogdan Trawiński, Dr. Bernadetta Maleszka, Dr. Marcin Maleszka, and Mr. Rafał Kern took part in the conference.

205 papers from 23 countries all over the world were submitted to the conference. Only 70 papers with the highest quality were selected for oral presentation and publication in the volume of the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series (vol. 8733). Moreover, 20 additional papers were presented during poster sessions and were published in the form of chapters of the scientific monograph issued in Studies in Computational Intelligence (vol. 572) by Springer Verlag.

Keynote speeches were given by Prof. Francis Heylighen from Free University of Brussels (Belgium), Prof. Il-Hong Suh from Hanyang University (Korea), Prof. Mirjana Ivanović -from University of Novi Sad (Serbia), Prof. Key-Sun Choi from KAIST (Korea) and Tony (Kyung-IL) Lee, CEO and President of Saltlux, Inc., Korea.
