International Scientific School of Knowledge Management in Dong Hoi

The Scientific School of Knowledge Management, an international scientific school for researchers in the field of Knowledge Management, was held on 25-26 November, 2012 in Quang Binh University, Dong Hoi City, Vietnam. The spirit of this International School was inspired by the prestigious scientist organizations, IEEE TC on CCI, ACIIDS and ICCCI conferences, the influence of which spread to generations of researchers in computer science.
Lectures, seminars, and discussions was organized at the highest level. The school objective was to contribute to advances in a rapidly evolving field, and to foster participation in the adventure of the research. It provided up-to-date, state-of-art knowledge on emerging areas and addresses important issues, going from basic to applied research on knowledge management.
The Scientific Chair of the School was Professor Ngoc Thanh Nguyen and a Committee Member was Dr. Bogdan Trawiński, The lectures were given by Prof. Longbing Cao from University of Technology Sydney (Australia), Prof. Philip Chen, President of IEEE SMC from University of Makau, Prof. Mong-Fong Horng from National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences (Taiwan), Prof. Geun-Sik Jo, from Inha University (Korea), Prof. Kang-Hyun Jo from University of Ulsan (Korea), Prof. Thi Hoai An Le from Lorraine University (France), Prof. Dinh Tao Pham from INSA-Rouen (France), Prof. Ali Selamat from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia), Prof. Janusz Sobecki and Dr. Bogdan Trawiński from Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland).
Prof. Sobecki’s lecture title was “Recommendation Systems Taxonomy” and Dr. Trawinski’s lecture title was “The application of fuzzy systems to solve practical problems”.
