Successful MMAML 2010 Special Session

The MMAML 2010 Special Session on Multiple Model Approach to Machine Learning was organized within the 2nd Asian Conference on Intelligent Information and Database Systems (ACIIDS-2010).


MMAML 2010 was the biggest special session held by ACIIDS 2010. 35 papers were submitted to the Special Session and majority of them were of a good quality. According to the rigorous Springer’s rules 13 best quality papers (i.e. 35%) were accepted to be orally presented at the MMAML 2010 special session and published in the LNAI volumes 5990, 5991. Moreover, next 5 papers have been selected for poster presentation and the edited book published in the Springer Series of Studies in Computational Intelligence, vol. 283. The authors of all 18 accepted papers represent scientific centers from 15 countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Poland, Spain, Taiwan, and Vietnam.


Ten best papers were invited to special issue "Hybrid and Ensemble Methods in Machine Learning" of the prestigious journal New Generation Computing which will be published in 2011.


The MMAML 2010 Special Session was co-organized by three colleagues Prof. Oscar Cordón (Spain), Prof. Przemysław Kazienko (Poland), and Dr. Bogdan Trawiński (Poland).
