The 4th International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence Technologies and Applications (ICCCI 2012) took place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The conference was organized by Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland) in cooperation with the University of Information Technology (Vietnam National University VNU-HCM, Vietnam). The conference was run under the patronage of the Committee of Informatics, Polish Academy of Sciences, and the IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Computational Collective Intelligence. General Chair of the conference was Professor Ngoc Thanh Nguyen. A number representatives of our Division: Prof. Ngoc Thanh Nguyen, Prof. Radoslaw Katarzyniak, Prof. Janusz Sobecki, Dr. Bogdan Trawiński, and Mr. Marcin Pietranik, Mr. Grzegorz Popek, Mr. Grzegorz Skorupa took part in the conference.
Above 397 papers from 33 countries were submitted to the conference. Only 113 best papers were selected for oral presentation and publication in the two volumes of the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series (Vol. 7653, 7654).
Keynote speeches were given by four Professors: Philip Chen IEEE &AAAI Fellow, President of IEEE SMC from University of Macau, Gottfried Vossen from European Research Center for Information Systems (Germany), Longbing Cao from University of Technology Sydney (Australia), and Adam Grzech from Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland).
