Professor Toyoaki Nishida from Iwate Prefectural University (IPU), Iwate, Japan gave a series of invited lectures on intelligent user interfaces between human user and computers to the doctoral students and research workers of our University. The lectures were cofunded by European Union within European Social Fund Framework. The initiator of the visit was Professor Ngoc Thanh Nguyen. Prof. Hamido Fujita is a professor at Iwate Prefectural University (IPU), Iwate, Japan. He is a director of ARISES and Intelligent Software Systems. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Knowledge-Based Systems, Elsevier. He received Honorary Professor title from Óbuda University, Budapest, Hungary in 2011. He has supervised PhD students jointly with University of Laval, Quebec, Canada; University of Technology, Sydney, Australia; University of Paris, France; and University of Genoa, Italy. He is currently heading a number of projects including Intelligent HCl, a project related to Mental Cloning as an intelligent user interface between human user and computers and SCOPE project on Virtual Doctor Systems.
